Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. Tokyo Branch

I had heard many stories from other banks about how difficult and costly it was to rationalize their Tokyo operations by cutting-back poor performers and head-count. Contacting Mr. Nevins, he showed me that there were better and less costly ways of doing it, without losing key staff, or jeopardizing morale.

With his assistance, I was able to cut costs, increase profits and come in with a positive program that further enhanced already high productivity. At the same time, we made adjustments in personnel regulations where needed, being sure to have good personnel systems that will work well for the bank in the competitive Tokyo financial services environment.
